Location : Seven Island in Seto Inland Sea and Takamatsu
(Naoshima, Teshima, Megijima, Ogijima, Shodoshima, Oshima, Inujima, Takamatsu Port Area)Since ancient times Seto Inland Sea has played an important role as a main artery of transportation.
The coming and going ship stops by islands, passes on a new culture and the style, and has fostered a spectacle where the life of people who live there is beautiful and traditional manners.
Setouchi International Art Festival is a celebration of contemporary art that meets the culture of the island and beautiful scenery of Seto Inland Sea.

You can enjoy Asian Artist's work from the sea and the mountains in rich location of the charm of the island.
Rika Aki
“When You Think of an Island ［ Wood［］ Path［］Fountain］”
Her three works, “Forest”, “Path”, and “Fountain” are set up in Hitoyama and Nakayama Area.
Tatsuo Kawaguchi
“Giant in Our Minds”
His works is the installation that utilized the storage of old rice granary.
Masayuki Kishimoto
“Tsugi-Tsugi-Kintsugi”
He uses repair technology called “Kintsugi” and reproduces ceramics products.
Koichi Kurita
“Soil Library Project / Setouchi”
The soil gathered everywhere in the Setouchi region is exhibited by a geometrical pattern.
Suh Do Ho
“Net-Work”
His work is small dolls' hands and feet are placed in a line. It looks like a fish net.
Sense Art Studio
“Lightening Shodoshima”
They held the event of the food project, the lampshade project and investigation of village kabuki.

His works is “sunari”. It is bamboo flute in Bali, Indonesia.

His works is made by fish nets and driftwoods.

This baroque style golden ship is at anchor in Dofuchi Strait.
